Community physiotherapist with special interest in TMD
ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome!
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010 in my home country of Portugal, and have been practising in the UK since 2014 as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist. I currently work with the NHS Cambridge and Peterborough Foundation Trust community team.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve specialised in visiting patients in their own homes and supporting them within their everyday environment. This experience has shown me just how beneficial home-based physiotherapy can be—allowing treatment to be more personalised, practical, and relevant to your daily life.
When setting up my own practice, it felt natural to continue offering home visits, making physiotherapy more accessible, convenient, and tailored to each individual.
In addition to my work in the community environment, I have developed an interest for TMD physiotherapy. I have undertaken additional training to better support patients experiencing jaw pain, headaches, and related issues, allowing me to provide more specialised and effective treatment. It’s an area I’ve developed a real passion for, and I find working in this field incredibly rewarding.
I am HCPC registered (PH103743), CSP registered (095098), and a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Temporomandibular Disorders, ensuring that my practice meets professional standards and stays up to date with the latest evidence-based care.
